Founded in 1943, Scoil Chros tSeáin is a Roman Catholic Primary School recognised by the Department of Education and Skills as a Boys’ primary school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Cork and Ross. Our school has a Catholic ethos where the individual is respected. Our aim is to promote the physical, mental, moral, social, spiritual, and vocational development of each student in this Catholic context. This will be done in partnership with the home. The school caters for boys in a range of classes from Junior Infants to Sixth class. It is an inclusive school and caters for boys of all abilities.

There are eight classroom teachers, including four Special Education Teachers employed in the school. Four Special Needs Assistants are assigned to the school by the Department of Education and Skills to enable the inclusion of boys with special educational needs.
